Re: Anybody changing?
Not really true. The Coors and Molson Families do have decendents from overseas (Don't we all). They still control the company. It is a special exempt company from the normal type public reporting to the SEC.grim reeler wrote:FYI - Coors and Miller are foreign owned as well.
However, they are on the NYSE and have offices and breweries in the US, so I still consider them an American company.
I am sure GE, GM, Ford and others also have foreign stockholders, but that does not necessarily make them a foreign owned company.
Their partner, SABMiller, is a South African owned company, however, they are still 2 separate companies working together at this time....
However, that is NOT the reason I will still drink Coors....it is about taste and class....

On the same note, I bet a lot of you younger guys do not know that you used to have to give a trucker some cash to bring you some "bootleg" Coors from out west years ago.....it was not even available here in the southeast legally.
It was good then too

Re: Anybody changing?
Butch had to go to Arizona back in the early 70's to pick up a helicopter for his office. He brought it back on a flat bed trailer. The cockpit was crammed full of COORS.

Your right Landshark is brewed and bottled at the AB plant in Jacksonville.Flint River Pirate wrote:I thought AB was their parent company?
