I think everyone knows that those chairs were actually designed for bagpipers that wear Kilts.

How quickly a post can be derailed :o ....funny stuff though :smt005

I actually had the opportunity this morning to talk to Ed Depuy face to face at a fundraiser for Sherrif Campbell and thank him personally for having the "onions" to vote alone against the property tax increase. He's definately one to defend the voice of the taxpayer and not sell out like some of the others who are just seeking personal gain and reputation at our expense. Also, Sheriff Campbell stated that they expect only 8-10% voter turnout for the election. So, if you favor him, you better get out and vote because the opposition to him is going to be out in full force to send him on his way.

heard an interview with him this morning on NPR, He says is was right in line with everyone else on the increases until the proposals of building some extra libraries and other building projects....said the extra building plans got him of the band wagon.

Leon county voters overwhelmingly voted against amendment one, basically saying they thought services were more important than a poorly thought out and implemented tax cut. Leon county commisioners are acting on that vote, within the bounds created by amendment 1. Thats the way a representative democracy is supposed to work.

I am more upset at Rubio and his lackeys for creating an tax "cut" that hurts businesses and usurps local governments' authority to govern itself while only providing an inconsequential tax cut to homeowners.
