Tarpon??????

Post by grasscarp »

Is anybody seeing very many tarpon near Panacea or St. Marks. I jsut got back from the world famous Boca Pass only to get blown from one end of the pass to the other. I guess that proves its better to stay close to home!

GC-we've seen a ton near St. Marks. I haven't even targeted the suckers at all, but the just seem to always be near the boat. We've had 3 explode topwaters while trout fishing in the last month.

Sorry BP was bust. Good luck

Me and Supafly went outta Lanark last Saturday . Saw 10 or so, hooked up with one for a very brief amount of time, then the jump and snap of the line.(he hit out smallest pole we had out) Live bait was the ticket.

Thanks redfin and showboat. You just cant beat that live bait. You can usually get them to hit if you throw out some cut live bait and freeline a lively bait in with the chum.
