Movie Review: The Dark Knight

Post by Tom Keels »

This is as good a movie as I have seen in a long time. Even if you were to take out all of the Batman scenes, you still have a gritty crime drama/suspense thriller.

When I say suspense thriller I mean it. There are so many twists and turns, you will be on the edge of your seat.

Believe the PG-13 rating. I can't figure out how it's not R. There are some truly disturbing images that I could/would not in good conscience let any of my kids see.

It's a shame about Heath Ledger as he really makes this movie something special. He should be nominated and win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar.

Go see it. Even if you know nothing about Batman, go see it. It's that good.

Glad to hear that Tom. I was sure it would be good. I wanted to take my 10 yo son, but thinking maybe I should reconsider.

Depends on your kids level of awareness. My kids wouldn't understand half of what is going on in the movie anyway. It's quite disturbing in places. I have a 9, 7 and 5 year old who I know would have nightmares.

Not a big movie goer, but have been interested in this one. May have to see it while it's still in theaters vice waiting for the DVD to come out. Thanks Tom.

Watched this movie with my daughter today. Totally different than any Batman movie to date. Great cast of actors and wasn't sure where things were heading until the end. What a difference in the Joker character from other Batman movies. Great movie.
