Seautrout Tourney 7/20
Put in at Carabelle early Sunday and made the run by moonlight to JT's fishing holes. Early morning bite was slow but CC did manage to put a 18.5" trout in the boat with a topwater lure to get things started. CC nailed a 21" trout not long after and I was thinking it was going to be one of those days where I play "JT" and net everyone else's nice fish. Moved along the same drift and started throwing plastics and managed to jump a 50-60lb tarpon in 3.5' of water!! We moved to yet another one of JT's spots and I finally got on the board with a 22 & 23 with a twich bait. The wind died around 11 and it got smokin hot and miserable. Caught one more 21" trout while being surrounded by dolphins that would eat every one of the little fish we threw back. Got back to the ramp around 2 and headed back to PSJ and let CC took care of the weigh in. I am not sure what our final weight was, but we finished 4th and it was more than JT caught, so thanks for letting us beat you with your own spots!!!!!!
Had a good time CC, til next time!

Good going BG. At least my Carrabelle spots produced fish. Caseys Aucilla spots suck.

An Old Timer once told me, "Good fisherman move with the fish."Jumptrout51 wrote:Good going BG. At least my Carrabelle spots produced fish. Caseys Aucilla spots suck.
My fish are like some of the uber-rich celebrities who have several houses and spend time in different ones throughout the year...they summer in Carrabelle and spend the Spring, Fall and Winter in beautiful Taylor County.
Boom goes the dynamite.
