MOONLITIN IN THE GULF

Post by FUTCHCAIRO »

JIMMIE HOLDEN PICKED ME UP ABOUT MID-NIGHT, WE LAUNCHED AT MASHES SANDS ABOUT 2 A.M, THE MOON WAS OUT GOOD BUT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS COVERED WITH A HAZE. WE CAUGHT 12 TROUT BETWEEN 17-18 INCHES FROM ABOUT 2 A.M. TILL ABOUT 5 A.M. HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP, HAD ABOUT A 50# TARPON STRIKE MY PLUG ABOUT 10 FT. FROM THE BOAT, BOY THAT WILL WAKE YA UP IN A HEART-BEAT. ON THE WAY HOME HAD A GREAT BREAKFAST SOMEWHERE CLOSE TO WAKULA, DO NOT REMEMBER THE NAME. THANKS JIMMIE FOR A GREAT BREAKFAST AND FISHIN TRIP.

Sounds like a good time, I have always wanted to do that. It seems like it would be a little spooky to be out there at 2am. :smt103

WTG, Pa. I keep saying I'm gonna try that on a moonlit night but haven't done it yet. We used to tear up the big bass in summertime fishing at night.
