MOONLITIN

Post by FUTCHCAIRO »

JIMMY PICKED ME UP ABOUT 11 P.M. , HE HAD JOSH AND WILL WITH HIM , THEY ARE FROM COLUMBUS. WE LAUNCHED AT PANACEA RAMP AND HEADED OUT AND AROUND PINEY IS. WE FISHED TILL 6 A.M. AND BETWEEN ALL OF US WE CAUGHT 36 TROUT AND HAD 20 NICE KEEPERS, 16-20 INCHES. JOSH AND WILL HAD NEVER DONE ANY NIGHT FISHING BEFORE, IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN. THEY CAUGHT ON PRETTY FAST AND WERE SOON BOATING FISH RIGHT AND LEFT. WE ALL USED TOP WATER PLUGS, I ALSO USED A BUZZ BAIT THAT WORKED JUST AS GOOD. WE FISHED IN WATER ABOUT 2-3 FT. DEEP, VERY CALM WITH NO BREEZE. IT GOT ALMOST AS HOT AS IF IT WERE DAYLIGHT, WE ALL GOT WET WITH SWEAT BEFORE WE CALLED IT A DAY AND HEADED BACK TO SAVAHANNAHS FOR BREAKFAST. WHEN THEY LET ME OFF AT THE HOUSE I WENT IN AND TOOK A SHOWER AND HIT THE BED, SLEPT TILL ALMOST NOON, BOY WAS I WORE OUT. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND JOSH AND WILL HAVE ALREADY BOOKED JIMMY FOR ANOTHER TRIP SAT.

I know what you mean Pa, about it being hot even at night. A few years ago I went out on an over night offshore trip. On the way out, about dark, the generator went out, so no AC. Not even a breath of wind that night. I slept up on the foredeck of the boat. Never been so hot in my life.
