Wacissa River - 07.26.08

Post by Supa Fly »

Decided to keep it simple this weekend, so I headed down to the Wacissa with my kayak, ultra light and a 4 wt. Started off by catching my official "smallest fish ever" on fly...

Caught these on the same white popper as the above monster was caught on.....

And caught these on a small Rebel crayfish crank bait.....

This is the inside of the first ones mouth. Never seen so many leaches in one fishes mouth.....

Last pic - The Odd Couple....

Finished the day by paddling down to Big Blue and swimming for a bit before heading back home. It's nice to get back to basics now and then.

Great photos-- Got to love fishing clear moving water!
I love those little crank baits. I've caught a ton of Browns and Rainbows on them.

Send that photo of the bass with leeches to the Florida DNR. There might be something they need to do about that.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
