Re: Fishing Tournament
Sorry I don't get it? Guaranteed 10,000 dollar payout, but the big fish pays $500, and I didn't see anywhere in the rules where anyone could win more that $500. Maybe I missed the page. Also the rules (what rules) don't really state any restrictions or guidelines, other that they can polygraph you. I guess I am allowed to use live bait, or even spear fish, if I can fit the dive equipment in the boat with the four other friends that want to tag along in hopes of getting the $10,000(I mean $500)dollar prize or whatever it maybe, but I guess we will find out at the polygraph test, which I am sure will be very extensive.
Don't get me wrong, I think that a trout tournament with this kind of payout would be a huge deal, but I just don't understand the format, or lack there of, of this tournament. If they could offer a little clarity to it, I can promise you that I would gladly donate my $75 dollars to the winner for just a chance of winning 10 grand.

Re: Fishing Tournament
The $10,000.00 payout is spread out over the top fifteen percent of the field and big red and trout pot the rules will be state laws depending on the area the tournament is held .The format is the top three fish per angler at the Nov 1&2nd tournament you will be able to weigh one fish over 20'' and two within the 15'' to 20'' slot per angler.Yes you can use live bait but laws do not allow spearing of trout or reds!!!!Sorry you did not understand the rules will get them maybe clarify them for people you don't understand state laws!!!Fish Masterson wrote:Sorry I don't get it? Re: Fishing Tournament
Ashley, just to for clarification purposes:
Each angler weighs in 3 trout. 1 over 20" and 2 under. There is a payout for total weight of the three trout and a seperate payout for the biggest trout.
Then there is a payout for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place red.
THat is what I got from reading, is this correct? Where do you recommend that I can spear me a good trout???
