Shell Point Marina Cobia

Post by flounderpounder »

I knocked off today around 1:00 and decided to beat the rain and wind and head down to Shell Point canals and bounce some docks and boat slips for some flatties. I eased out of the first canal and my first cast I got thumped pretty hard and the fish let go and a split second later it tagged the mullet again and jumped clear out of the water. I almost sh@#t myself at the explosion a couple yards from my boat. It was a pretty cool experience to fight a Cobe in a canal in between docks and boats. Today was one I will remember for sure a pretty cool experiece considering the conditions.

It tagged it right by the house to the right.

Cool. I bet there's some big trout and reds in the canals, also.

Nice fish. :D

Back, years ago, we used to catch reds in the fall in that canal that goes back to the left. Pretty sure that's the same canal.
