Pretty cool. Seems it just makes a cajun anchor from a push pole.
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Why not install a rod holder to the backside of your transom and use your pushpole? Thats what I will do...thanks for the idea!

Re: Ever used one?
Alot ot torque could be placed on a $600 push pole...plus another screw hole in the transom for water to come in to

We have been experimenting in this area with a 10 foot model that has a steel tip on it for penetrating Oyster bars. We use a 5 footer for kayaks made by http://www.captdick.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

WHAT CHALK SAID!!!!!
THE GUY THAT HAD MY POLING PLATFORM MADE HAD SOMETHING SIMILAR BUILT INTO THE BACK BAR. I ASKED HIM WHAT IT WAS WHEN I BOUGHT THE BOAT, HE SAID IT WAS USED TO STAKE OUT THE BOAT AND THAT IT HAD ONLY BEEN USED ONCE (BROKE HIS $600 PUSH POLE).
I HOWEVER FIND IT TO BE A HANDY PLACE TO PUT THE FISH NET.

That is why we use the Mike Flowers MF Pushpole. Hard to break, inexpensive to replace.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?
Re: Ever used one?
I may give it a try using an 8 foot 1/2" SS grounding rod
but I'm thinking that mounting the sleeve on the trolling motor may be a better option
maybe I'll see this weekend
