Rainy Day Reds 8-2

Post by Talltails »

Took the skiff out on a solo mission this morning to the shell point area. I was expecting high winds and rain, but actually had a good hour of slick calm fishing conditions. Fishing the falling tide and bumping bars, the topwater bite was pretty good. I picked up several reds and a few jacks. By 8:00 AM the rain moved in. I stuck around most of the morning and caught a few decent trout. No complaints here.

He didn't mention that he had not fished in 5 days and would have fished off the coast of Louisiana when Katrina hit with his great desire to get back on the water. Goo job TT.
