We average about 10 boats per tourney, but it has been as high as 20. Depending on the species, it is a boat weight. Everyone on the boat is on the same team and the team weighs their biggest 1 man legal limit of trout(when trout is an eligible species), everything else is the biggest legal 1 per boat.CSMarine wrote:Tom, A couple questions if you don't mind. How many boats do ya'll average at a tournament? Do you fish individule weight or boat weight? How much is entry?
Thanks.
You have to have a member in good standing on the boat and the entry fee is $10 for members, $15 for non members. Average payout for first place is over $100.
We also accumulate points towards an Angler of the Year award. It breaks down as follows.
Everyone on the team gets the points
First place - 5 points
Second - 4 points
Third - 3 points
Participation in the tourney gets you 1 point
Bonus species weighed gets you one point.
Best part though is we have a cookout after every tournament.
