A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
Tell me about it Barry.....I wasn't going fishing, but had work out the "ying-yang" for the past 2 days. Now with the rain, I gotta re-schedule into the weekend to get everything finished
Oh well, maybe somebody will want a boat done this weekend at the coast and I'll have a reason to get down there
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Proverbs 18:21
The fishing widow and I went after work yesterday until a little after dark. We put in at the fort. There was not a single trailer in the parking lot and the usual band of evening river-watchers stared from their trucks with a look of 'omg are they really putting that boat in there?!?!' The so-called 20-25mph wind was a mere 10-15mph breeze, we only got rained on once, and we only had to move down river while more severe stuff went by once for a few minutes. The weather in the east flats was actually much nicer than on land, but breezier. We got about 15 minutes of sun and eerie calm somewhere in between. Used drift sock and trolling motor to sort of maintain a drift, yielding one dinky 16" keeper on a skitterwalk.
Mookbait! At least 401 times better than live bait!
