Re: Lanark
we left out of the moorings saturday. river and 1-2 miles each direction was crisp golden brown, couldn't see the bottom till the skeg hit. turkey point area was almost as bad but not quite, and water was somewhat clear around lanark area. we caught fish on the edge of the tannins and in the clear, but only bites in the murky water were sharks and pinfish on spinner jigs. nothing hit topwater in the darker areas that I remember.

Re: Lanark
JT - how much you got? and then some...thought the lady was gonna hand me an annual pass for the price...signs say free slip with room, so I imagine they let you launch free with lodging. otherwise it was 20 bucks and the ramp is not conducive to anything under 30 feet due to a ripping current from upriver. might not be as bad with less rain, but we had a really hard time getting out and in due to current pinning the boat to the pier on the downriver side. Parking was also a bit of a problem at safe light, and the weather was really bad at the time so I imagine it could have been worse. Looked like they had plenty of trailer parking for people staying there, but not a lot of spaces to accomodate a truck and trailer at the same time.

Re: Lanark
I went yesterday. Some clear water behind Lanark reef. Everything else stirred up or tannic.
