We got power at 5 p.m. Been without since 9 p.m. Friday. 44 hours without ain't fun when you are old and running for President.
I promise, I promise, I promise, the American people will not be without affordable power.
Your vote will be appreciated.
FYI.Highway 84 between tville and cairo is closed.

Hope everyone is doing well.[/quote]

19 1/4 inches as of 5pm yesterday. Drove to work this morning in the rain though..... Never lost power (Talquin), Comcast cable was down about 4 hours on Saturday afternoon/evening. I was sure lucky compared to a lot of folks in the area. Still folks without power this morning and people finding alternate ways to get to work ...if they can! Sounds like some river folks have yet to see the worst.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
Looking at the SE weather map looks like the bad gal Fay isn't thru yet! Need to rewrite the Johnny Cash song...."How highs the water Momma.....15 feet and rising"

Went out to Lake Jackson on Saturday morning. Was able to drive my truck from Faulk Landing all the way to Millers.
Put the boat in at Millers on Sunday and was able to drive the boat everywhere. First time in 9 years... Went over to Shuckers for a couple of beers, drove over to 27 landing just to BS with the others that made it out. Drove over to Rhoden Cove just cuz, then made my way all the way up Magginis (SP?) Arm and drove up a drainage ditch (in the boat) up to I-10. Needless to say, it was pretty dayum cool.
Don't know how long it will last as the lake seemed more like a river with the water rushing to the West. Think Faulk Sink is still sucking.....

We kept a camper for several years in the 70s on back of Rollins Point. Is there water in that area of the lake?
