Shell Point Report 8-30

Post by Talltails »

Flounderpounder and I went out to the reef and OB on Saturday. The stars were aligned to have a good day of fishing, but the water conditions apparently had other things in mind. The water is still very stained from all the water, but more bothersome was all the grass and debris in and on top of the water. I managed to pick up a nice red on a Spook Jr. and another on a jerk bait. The color of the reds were very dark due to the water color F.P. caught a couple keeper trout and we caught a small assortment of trash fish. All in all today was just not meant to be. At least we were able to slip in a trip before the winds come.

Good day fellas. That tannic water sure does bring out the color on the fish.
