I decided to take my father-in-law pond fishing to a pond a friend of mine owns over in Tift County. We got on the water about 7am and threw buzzbaits. About 10 times it looked like someone dropped a bowling ball on top of our bait.....but no hook-ups. This isn't my first rodeo so I already had trailer hooks on. I also followed the blowups with a floating worm..............no dice. We fished for about 2 hours and had only caught 2 dinks on a worm. We decided to leave. Another buddy has a pond on the way home, so I decided to hit it for a little while. It is generally not a great pond because all it is used for is a holding pond for irrigation. However today was a good one. We caught several nice bass on worms, rattletraps and spinnerbaits. He had a great time which was my intention. Great day!
I caught this one before we put the boat in the water!
