Donation to Help Ike Victims

Post by MudDucker »

One of my pet charities that I learned about during 9/11 and then during Katrina is the Southern Baptist Relief Team. There are teams all over the country and they deploy nationally and internationally in times of disaster. These folks have complete mobile kitchens and they go in with the Red Cross and other relief organizations, set up their kitchens and begin providing hot meals for victims and responders. I've heard countless stories from responders of how these folks are a true god send.

Now I see Ike rolling into Houston. Houston, if you remember, opened it arms and took so many of the Katrina victims from New Orleans. They gave until it hurt their city financially.

I sent a donation and if you feel this tugging at your heart, here is the website.
