trolling motor pull cord?

Post by Atticus »

Anyone ever replace the pull cord on their trolling motor?

My handle won't stick on the part of the motor on which it is supposed to stick. Therefore, when trailering or in a chop... the handle is bouncing around on the deck, hull, motor, etc.

I figured velcro wouldn't work to connect the handle to the motor body but if I could get about another 10 inches on the pull cord I could velcro the handle with the motor's stop collar. What do you think? Where can I get replacement cord?

Longer Velcro, and they make Bungees that you can cut to length at HD now.
