Grey Buzzers save the Day
Well, my duck hunting partner decided to be a good employee and work yesterday rather than fish. This is the man who lectures me about keeping my priorities straight whenever I tell him I have to work on a week day.
A friend from Omega invited me to come have lunch and shot dove birds. Good lunch of grilled sausage and fried doves with old fashion hoop cheese. Birds only came to one part of the field...where I wasn't initially. Moved over and was allowed to squeeze in. Started picking up a few birds. Here comes the man. Nice guy, but of course when he came, so did the birds. Quit about 5:30 with a limit. Everyone sat around shooting the bull and watching the birds really start coming about 6PM.
Got home in time to eat and watch the DAWGS do it in the desert. Nice finish to the day.

Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

I was wondering if you went out. Doves are fun too. Our dove season in Alachua County doesn't start till Oct 4th. Sounds like a great day in the field though.
