Driving at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Post by Welby »

Had a great time Saturday up at Atlanta Motor Speedway. I got to drive a Richard Petty Driving Experience Car. Out of 33 in our group, yours truely had the fastest speed of the class at 144 MPH. DeeDee rode with me to the track but wanted no part of riding in the race car.....maybe next time.

Below are some pics .....

Cool! Something I've always wanted to do.

A customer of mine and his boys from Tallahassee also participated in Atlanta this past weekend. Small world!

Wow, everytime I watch part of a NASCAR race it amazes me how close the drivers are to the steering wheel. I guess they have there seats pulled as far up as possible, cause I can't imagine any Beckham being able to fit in one of those things! :-D Glad to see Ms. Dee Dee getting out and around. Looks like a good time.

Welby, haven't had the pleasure of meeting you but did use the board to keep up with your and Dee Dee's recovery... very inspirational to see reports of you back on the water and enjoying such adventurous outings as the Petty driving experience

Need for Speed? Boss man did that a few years back, next thing ya know, He's gone and bought all of Chad Little's cars, after He quit Winston Cup, to race ARCA. Spent close to a cool Mil Getting everything we needed to go racing. Spent the next 4 years putting him and the cars back together more times than I care to admit. Still got plenty of stuff 4 sale If you still got an itch
