Full Beaver Moon

Post by Chalk »

:o

November 13 will be a Full Beaver Moon - " For both the colonists and the Algonquin tribes, this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. This full Moon was also called the Frost Moon."

Looking forward to seeing the Beaver on November 7-8 :-D

Unfortunately, in todays modern times, it is more often the beaver that sets the trap and June is a favorite month for the trap to close on some unsuspecting male beaver lover. :smt005
