Creek fishing after work

Post by Talltails »

The wind kept me doing chores around the house all weekend, so it didn't take much internal justification to slip out of work a little early to go fishing. I took the yak for a little solo mission in one of my favorite creeks. The incoming tide was just starting to run over the oyster bars, and the fishing was quite good. I picked up 8 reds to about 22" and one flattie in about two hours. I would have stayed longer, but the gnats decided to mooch in on my fishing trip. No trophy fish, but a nice afternoon of fall fishing.

Not too shabby for an afternoon trip.

Hear that, I think I could justify camping on the back of Dog Island for about 3 years.
Nice job.
Watching the weekend weather. Sure do know where they ought to be.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.
