I met my buddy Jeff this morning at his place and headed up to our property in Jefferson County for the opening morning of gun season. We were in the stands by 6:00am. Got to see a beautiful sunrise and the woods came alive shortly thereafter. We sat till 9:45am, but never saw anything more than a big covey of quail Still beat sitting at the house and sleeping in Gonna try again Monday morning......

Well, I was going to go try this again this morning. Got up at 5:00am to find the wife awake with our little girl sick. She asked me if I could build them a fire before I left, so they could sleep on the couch next to the fireplace. Better judgement got the best of me, so I just decided to build a fire and stay with them. I put on a pot of coffee and we talked about how good life is Shortly thereafter, our 4 year old heard the crackling of the fire and he got up and asked me "Daddy, how did the fire stay up all night?" Gotta love 'em.
Hope everybody has a good day
