Sharkman and I left the ramp around 8am and quickly headed offshore. Was surprised at the lack of activity offshore. Didn't mark many fish and had no luck fishing sardines on bottom or trolling. Decided to move back into shallow water. On the way back in stopped in at a few 17' spots and sharkman caught black sea bass on nearly every cast as well as two dinner plate sized white grunts
Keeping with our original game plan (offshore morning / target inshore reds in afternoon), we rushed to one of our favorite bars. Fishing only gold spoons, we instantly started getting hits. Sharkman brought the first redfish in the boat... a nice 24" red weighing in around 6 pounds. Sharkman then hooked an overslot red but lost him at the boat as the red tail-whipped his light weight leader. I hooked the next red using light spinning tackle. Might should have used one of my stouter combos, as the red really did a number on my wrist

Seriously, had to fight the red for about 10 action packed minutes. Finally after multiple runs from the boat we landed the red and he weighed in at 7 pounds. Stayed put at our one spot and hooked over 10 reds, all upper slot/over slot reds. With the tide quickly falling to our +1.5' threshold, we had to leave them biting
Beautiful November day on the water. Hope to at least get out a few more days before the weather turns much colder.
