No more Fort boat ramp?!
http://www.gainesville.com/article/2008 ... al_reasons
According to the link above, courtesy of the Gainesville Sun, it looks like the Fort could be in trouble, because the state is looking at possible closing the state park.
Closing the park would mean closing the boat ramp, right?
..This is a scary prospect!
Couldn't they just charge a $2 launch fee? Seems like they'd make a killing that way.
Is there anyone out there with more intimate knowledge of the situation?

The ramp and park are seperate from the Fort

fyu
The boat ramps, parking lot, restrooms, and pavillion all are owned by the City of St. Marks not The State of Florida. The state does own the fort and the property west.

The Fort is not included in that list. It says "St. Marks River State Park- Leon County" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Marks_River_State_Park That's the way I understood it.

They're not so bad as long as they don't stay.
Re: No more Fort boat ramp?!
By the term "Yankee's" you mean anything above I-10 right? I've hardly ever seen any vehicle tags other than Georgia or Alabama.
