Surely Someone Looking for a Christmas Dog!

Post by big bend gyrene »

Can't hurt to ask... anyone looking to give their children a small dog for Christmas? I ask because a small stray has TEMPORARILY made my place his home. I say temporarily only because I already have over 200+ pounds of dog (3 of them... a great dane, a large lab, and a mutt), and my neighborhood's rules of the road limit pet ownership at 3 dogs. Not to mention, two of my dogs are males and the small dog is also a male... throw me in the mix and you got WAY too much testosterone

Here's a few pics that show the dog appears to be in relatively good health. Anyone interested in seeing the dog can either respond via this post or PM me. Working local contacts to see if I can find anyone wanting a small dog, but if no luck by Friday have already warned the Mrs. that I'll be dropping the small dog off at the pound, though it is one of the last things I really want to do :smt009

100 views and no replies? Hmmmmmm..... On a positive note, do have a few nibbles from a couple of fellow office workers and will repost if/when adopted. Main interest I have is just getting him a good/safe place to stay.

Since I know many fellow board members love dogs and the post did get a good many views (even if not replies ;-) ), just wanted to share the news that I did find a good home for the dog... a friend with six fenced acres was looking to adopt in order to provide a play-companion for a dog they already owned. Glad to report a happy ending. :D
