Looking to get some new Rods

Hey, I've been looking to get some new rods. I was thinking abut the Falcon Coastal Series. Anyone know
any other good models? I'm looking for a spinning rod from 6'6 to 7 and lighweight. I also need this lightweight rod
to be able to pull big redfish from under the boat.

My vote goes to FALCON. Not just because they are a club sponsor, but because I have already bought 3 of their rods and they fish better than any others I own. Others include Allstar,Shimano,Penn,Berkley and Star.

FALCON customer service can't be beat.

I have heard some really good stuff about that rod.

I keep 6-7 at any given time matched with various Daiwa ss reels (1300 and 1600). I use the freshwater models for the shorter handles and simply glue the
two pieces together. I've actually got four going on at least 10+ years. I use mostly all braided line and the softness of the rods works well. My
"expensive" rods are Daiwa inshores ML and L as my red rods which can be picked up at about half price on ebay.

I have four Falcon coastals. 2 7' and 2 71/2'. I've the 7's for years. Far as I'm concerned you can't find a better spinning rod for flats fishing. I started using Falcons in the early 90's and never had any problem whatsoever with them. great product.

Have to try a Falcon. I can't figure a reason for an inshore rod less than 7 feet.
I've had one high end St Croix and it was really worth the money.

Shimano Terrmar 7'6", 10 lb PP will cast a mile! Great for spoons, light weight soft plastics.

i use ugly sticks for inshore cause of the indestuctable nature of it. i have one 6'6 m with a quantum pt saltwater b.c. on it... a bigger 7'6 mh with an old abugarcia black max on it (for live bait... u never know how big something might be) and a 7' m spinning rod with a quantum incyte. it seemed to me that the uglystick graphite lite series was perfect for saltwater. its somewhat light and somewhat sensitve and totally reliable. theyre obviously not as light or sensitive as a falcon or all star or my shimanos, but how sennsitive do you really need in inshore? not alot. sheepshead is about it. they are plenty sensitive for that.
half the price of the fancy bass rods too..........

I like Falcon rods, I have two. My absolute favorites are my G-Loomis GL3's but I am not rich and can't afford a bunch of them. I have some Bass Pro Extremes too, they are very comfortable to fish with. I love the handles that Bass Pro puts on the Extreme's.

The one Falcon rod I do have though, is a 7' casting MH and it has easily handled big jacks, reds, and tarpon.

You can also try the Okuma Guide Selects. Around $70, good IM8 rods, and come with a lifetime over the counter warranty.
