Met Talltails bright and early this morning at Alligator Harbor to paddle around in the negative tide. There was enough water for the yaks, so we were set. The water was crystal clear and that means spooky redfish. We were hoping that some of the deeper holes on the flats would hold fish because its been so cold lately and there wasn't enough water for them to hide in the creeks.
It was dead calm early and we were able to see reds waking right off the bat and we got into e'm good. I think we both landed ten a piece before 8 am. Most were mid slot fish and my largest was 26.
Off the water by 9:45.
Here's one of Talltails early morning redfish. It was a bit chilly before the sun got up.
