After fishing with Talltails Wednesday morning, me, my wife and the dogs headed up to Douglas for Thanksgiving. I talked to Shoalmaster the day before and he said he was bringing his boat to fish a pond on his in-laws land. We got on the water around 3:00 with Shoalmaster Jr. (Jacob) to see what the pond was holding. He said he had caught some decent crappie and bass in the past.

Shoalmaster starts off the afternoon with a nice crappie.

I was next with a bass.

Jacob follows up with his first crappie, a nice one at that. He had the hot hand on the day and ended up with a mess of fish throwing a Beetle spin.

Not to be outdone, I finally landed a crappie. We ended up with 12 nice ones.
