Got together with One Keeper and Trout Trent for a little cat fishing on Talquin, Fri. 11-28. Picked up a few doz. shiners for bait and met up with the guys at the landing around 3:30 pm, waited out the rain and sure enough it stopped about an hour before dark. Got one keeper in the water and started cutting bait as Trent made the way to the trees. 1keeper started tying on the hooks that I had baited and the bite was on. Caught several in the two to four pound range on the first run. Made our way to the landing about dark where Never To Late had arrived and had a warm fire going so we could dry out. Trinka had a pot of soup going on the cooker (damn good) and I got the sausage going on the grill that Lindley and Trent brought with them. By the time we ate, it was time to run the hooks again so Trent, Keeper, and NTL made the next run while I stayed at the camp with the ladies. Second run, same results, fish on almost all hooks. Back to landing, more food warm fire, make another run, more fish, remove hooks, return to landing with a fourty eight quart cooler full of (damn good) Talquin Cats all in the two to five pound range. Great evening with great friends and good food and drink.

Re: Talquin Cats
Good trip guys.
If I had not been so tired from catching trouts I would have been there.
