Aucilla 11-28

Post by flyboy »

Wife had to work, the In-Laws were in town to keep the youngun, so I slipped off with a buddy to try the reds. Put in around 7:15am and slowly made our way down the river. Started fishing about 8:00 and manged 22 reds 17-24 inches, 4 trout and 2 short sheephead. Not a single drop of rain fell on us and we were back on the trailer around 3:00pm. Caught'em on Live shrimp, gold spoons, and 3" gulps. Best day I've ever had in the now 2 years of "Flats Fishing" :-D :-D . It's hard to get to good when you only get to go 6 or 8 times a year. But I plan to go more this winter.

Not a bad day at all.
Any day away from the in-laws is a good day.

Dang. Wife working, in-laws babysitting and a guy fishing. You are living right. Great trip even if you had not caught fish.
