GPS track for Dickerson Bay

Post by rjohnson »

So, our boat's in dry dock at Panacea Harbor Marina, and I plan to take it out this weekend. Can anybody provide me with a GPS track for getting out of, or around, the bay? The boat's a 16' skiff and can plug along in some pretty shallow water.

Any other tips are appreciated, as well.

Thanks,

That is my favorite place to fish- the channel is very squiggly with shallow bars on each side.
I run a 16' Carolina Skiff and still have to say in between the markers if I want to run without thinking.
I have Blue Charts on my Garmin- that has all the markers and most of the bars.
Most of the bars are sand- not a lot of oysters till you run behind Piney.
Google Earth will be very helpful..... you can see a lot of the sand bars.
