2009 NFGFC Tournament Schedule
2009 is going to be an exciting year for NFGFC anglers. The attendance at club tournaments in 2008 was better than ever as we averaged well over 15 boats per tournament and we hope to increase our numbers yet again in 2009. These are great tournaments for all types of fisherman and lots of information is exchanged at the weigh-ins to help you become a better angler. We are adding a new prize for NFGFC members that fish our tournaments...big trout for the year. The NFGFC member who weighs the heaviest trout in a 2009 NFGFC tournament will win a nice prize at the Christmas Party.
Tournaments will be held on the Saturday following the meeting. It worked well last year and so we're going to stick with that this year; the only exception is the month of July due to the holiday on the 4th. I've looked at the tides for these days and there will be lots of good water movement on them. We've added a new ramp tournament this year; Econfina in October which should be a great time to fish that area. The weigh-ins for non-ramp specific tournaments will be held at Jerry's Bait and Tackle.
February 7, 2009 - Jerry's Bait and Tackle
March 7, 2009 - Keaton Beach Marina
April 4, 2009 - Jerry's Bait and Tackle
May 9, 2009 - PSJ City Ramp, Port St. Joe
June 6, 2009 - Jerry's Bait and Tackle
July 11, 2009 - Jerry's Bait and Tackle
August 8, 2009 - Jerry's Bait and Tackle
September 5, 2009 - Carrabelle
October 3, 2009 - Econfina
November 7, 2009 - Jerry's Bait and Tackle

Thanks Casey. I like the idea of adding another ramp tourny.

Sounds great. You got some big shoes to fill. They did have little feet in them, but still some big shoes.

Yeah, real good line-up! I agree with a Econfina trip in July. Hopefully gas will stay cheap so I can join in the fun.

It's just money, they'll keep printing more.

Are there going to be any changes in the way you have to sign in/check in for the JBT tourneys?? So maybe if someone wanted to fish, lets say, PSJ and not come all the way to Woodville to check in they could do so???
