Lanark 12-13-08

Post by culrich »

Wow, what a crazy day. Me and my fishing partner Trip decided to try and locate some fish for next weekends redfish tourney. We knew it was gonna be low but we had know idea how LOW it was really gonna be. We met at the Publix on Crawfordville highway at 8:30 and headed south. We arrived around 9:15 to find NO water anywhere. We ended up sitting around the ramp until 1pm, it was game on after that. I wanted to run east and work our way back towards the ramp. We ended up having to run in about 8-10 inches of water for a good bit, the eel grass was coming out of the water. :o . We got to spot #1 and started to work our way back west. The fishing was real good for the conditions we had to deal with. We ended up catching and releasing 13 reds. We were back at the ramp at 3:45.

Cool day but with eel grass showing, I don't know if my boat would move much in that.
