Hey Bman, I live, work, and fish down at the coast. My main areas are from St Marks to St George island, and I can tell you that from my experience, Alltel has the best consistant coverage down here. I don't work for them and wouldn't have any other service.

What Sir reel said about TracFone.
That's what I have. Of course neither of the people that care anything about talking to me call very often.

i understand that through the Ver/alltel deal, verizon had to divest themselves of several areas. A few being b,dge, cairo and parts of T,ville. anything to that FRP? seems aT&T may be the only game in town in a year or two. right now atnt doesn't work so good out in the counties, but i have seen a few new tower permits going before the county commissioners as of late. one being about 3 miles from me as the crow flies. how about a loaner FRP to test the coverage for an 8 county area that i cover?

Went hunting in west Texas couple weeks ago and no coverage at all with our cell phones.my blackberry with verizon wouldn't even get one bar at the location we were at..neither would anybody's else..The rancher on whose place we hunted had ATT & T and got a decent signal, at least enough that we borrowed it to call home and check in.. Figured next year when we go back I would buy a prepaid A T & T to take with me.. We were about three hours southwest of San Antonio...Incidently, closest town to where we stayed was 27 miles ! We was in the hill country ~!

Yes, from what I understand they had to renegotiate several of their co-habitation deals. I'll see what I can do about a loaner phone.Barhopr wrote:i understand that through the Ver/alltel deal, verizon had to divest themselves of several areas.
