Finally made it down for some much needed time on the water. We crossed the bay in the fog and managed to find our way into the canal, thank god for the hand held gps. Anchored up to rig some rods and boated 8 reds to 25" in the same spot. Since that went so well we decided to look for other species and added another red and three sheepshead.
We traversed the bay again to see if we could find some reds in their usual shallow water homes. 1st stop, we started seeing some fish and had one follow a spook all the way to the boat. I spotted the third fish about 25 ft off the bow, I pitched and he ate. The dog jumped in the water to retrieve as soon as I set the hook, then knocked my stradic in the water, so he got to be in the picture. We saw and spooked about 10 more then the clouds moved in and so did we. Awesome day on the water.
