2009 Fishing Resolutions

Post by lordsfisher »

Happy New Year All! I've decided for 2009 to try something different with fishing. I rely almost exclusively on fishing plastic (grubs and shad). This year I'm going to try to get some kind of mastery of some other lure type. I'm thinking spoons. I've caught reds on them, but do trout hit them as well as they do plastic? I'm thinking of these Capt. Mike's: http://www.floridaysfishing.com/camiwewisp.html So now i have choices. Do you think i want 1/4 oz or 3/8? Do those single weedless hooks work well, or do you miss a lot of fish? I'll probably get the basic gold.

Any one else have a fishing resolution? (This should be good).

Capt. Mikes spoons are the best in my opinion. The sizes all depend on what depths your gonna be fishing. Im sure the gold will work but I love the pink single hook spoon. It will kill the reds and the trout will hit them as well.

I think you should keep on with topwater. To me there is no thrill like it. Try different colors at different times and water clarities. Early morning spring and summer........yeah!

I'm pretty fond of pink Capt. Mike's spoons.
