New years eve trip to the Warrior

Post by What a mess »

My best freind came down from Pulaski NY where they have had a mild winter only 17 feet of snow so far.

I have been after him to fish with me for years of course the tides and weather haven't been to good.

Picked him up early and my fishen partner and boat and off we went trying to get out before the creek went dry.

A little hustle and we just made it boy howdy did it get low a few minutes late and it would have been a no go fo sho.

Tom had filled her up with power tune and she did some better but still ain't right we got out and the water was very low & clear.

Goofed around awhile and finally went to look for some color got all the way to rock island picked up a couple blues in the dirty water.

Got on the edge of the dirty water in 7' there they are I was just trying to get something and my buddy hooks up on the tourist rig.

Then it is on fast and for the most part short but twenty plus fish drifts with an occaisional keeper mixed in 7' swarming with trout?

Never would have believed it had I not seen it but they where there and fast easy pickens made me look good in front of my guest.

Followed the tide in picked up a couple good trout on the way in following the tide then bagged a few reds in a creek, then back on the trailer .

Home for a cat nap and off to do the New Years party at a great friends house pretty cool way to get it done.

I hope and pray you fish often stay safe and catch many in this New Year.

May every trip bring a great new adventure and memory that will last a lifetime.

Take someone that has never fished I did yesterday and it was pretty cool to se him "get why" we love it so much.

He and I grew up together and traveled the world in the USMC California North Carolina and Japan take care in the new year! salute3
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

Glad you found 'em. I'll take your advice about taking a non-fisherman fishing.
