Albany Area Fishing Supplies
If you are in the Albany area and you need fishing stuff, try W.F. Surplus on Pecan Ln. It is right by the Marine Base. They have more stuff than everywhere else in Albany combined. His salt water selection is unbelievable. If he doesn't have something he will order it. His GULP is $4.95 a pack, everyday. Everything else is much cheaper than I have seen. The manager's name is Frank, tell him Dave Walton sent you and he will cut you a deal.
I have spent a bunch of money in there lately and I really have enjoyed dealing with Frank.
I have never really plugged a store before, but it is worth the trip!

FlintRiverPirate, I was passing through there yesterday on the way to Columbus, and wish I had known. I pity you having to drive so far to fish the saltwater. But I understand the disease (I have it too!). You need to bite bullet and make the move to the coast.

FlintRiverPilot: 119 mi.! Ouch! This next year might be a good one to buy a place. I suspect the prices to be the lowest in years. You need to change tactics with your wife. Sounds like you need better bait. Instead of driving to the Ecofina this year, you should be taking your wife to the Tallahassee Governor Square Mall.
We're shopping for a new house in Tallahassee for kids in school. Hopefully we'll have one with a guest bedroom and I can invite you to stay if you need a place to turn it into an affordable multi-day trip. Of course from my area is still too far for my taste (about 35 mi to Ecofina I think). Tight lines.

Thanks for the info Cuz! We pass right by there on Moultrie Rd several times a month. We will generally buy in bulk and there are 4 of us that buy together. If he can order in advance I will do it that way. What is their number? I will tell him Big Dave sent me.....I hope you are getting a kick-back!
