Very Cool Project

Post by Tom Keels »

I told some folks about this at the club meeting last night so I thought I would post the link.

A couple of buddies from work decided to launch a balloon with a camera payload and some other gadgets to see if they could do it. Well 110,000 feet later, the results can be viewed here...

I'm sure the folks at tyndall and eglin were thrilled with it, not to mention the TLH airport.

Nowhere near any of those. All FAA regs were adhered to.

Because airplanes follow the shore lines because of shorter rescue times, shorter swims and no trees to take them out on a water landing. Better odds of survival. Maybe.
