I like the weedless hook but to get the distance I sometimes need (yes, 10lb Power Pro, full spool...)
I like to use a 1/16 oz jig with the Zulu baits because they are very bouyant and will suspend a 1/16oz jig
in 6" of water. You can slow them down and they will actually work level in the water column like a
suspending hard bait.
Time for me to shut up.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.

I like the 5 1/2 DOA jerkbaits in Glow. Good weight and I rig them through the head Tye Smith style and I lose one after I catch 20 or thirty trout. Thats pretty good odds for me. And I can sling it with my 8' Medium action Terramar annd Stradic 3000 with the 15 lb power pro almost as far as I can cast the super spook. The DOA is made of some really strectchy plastic with a good density to put it right where it needs to be in the water column to catch most of the trout in our area. Works good for me. Rarely have I tossed one off with the tye smith rig which frees the front of the body to be twitched and dart in a natural way. I'd rather catch 60 trout in one day and lose two or three DOA's than to cast all day catch 20 trout and go home with my jerkbait.

I like that setup of yours too Littoral in deeper stuff with the 1/16 oz weedless.
