Re: NFGFC *REDFISH TOURNAMENT ROLL CALL*
For the Feb. redfish tournament there will not be the optional $5 side-pot for largest redfish as the biggest redfish will win the tournament. This $5 side-pot is only for our trout tournaments.
Instead, there will be an optional $10 per person (everyone in the boat must enter) side-pot for the slot redfish with the most spots. In case of a tie, the heaviest fish takes it.
As discussed at our last meeting, members can launch their boats before safe light, but cannot venture further than 100 yards from the dock until safe light. Safe light is defined as 30 minutes before sunrise. Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m. on February 7 and so tournament participants can leave the dock at 6:52 a.m.
The safe light time for each tournament will be posted on BBF.net and mentioned at the meeting before the tournament.
NFGFC tournaments are a lot of fun - I'd like to encourage those who haven't fished one of our tournaments to come out and give it a try. I guarantee you'll learn a bunch about fishing from both our members and our excellent speakers.

Casey, maybe we should do this at the trout tournaments too. The trout with the most spots wins. Steve can count 'em.caseycook wrote: Instead, there will be an optional $10 per person (everyone in the boat must enter) side-pot for the slot redfish with the most spots. Do you have to be a NFGFC member to enter the tournament? I would like to check out the Club but living in Thomasville and working way to much limits my ability to make it to meetings (not to mention actually fishing). Where are the meetings normally at? Thanks!

You don't have to be a member to fish the tournament, but you have to have a member in good standing on your team. Most of your questions can probably be answered here...GatorBaiter wrote:Do you have to be a NFGFC member to enter the tournament?
