Just got done with the rules for 2009.

Redfish will be added this year. Guaranteed $3000 Jackpot payout for the largest red in the slot. Slot for the tournament will be 20-26". This should be a horse race for sure.

I am not familiar with the various tournaments you guys list. Do you guys ever host a tournament around Panama City? Maybe PSJ? Crooked Island Sound?

The NFGFC has a tourney at Port St. Joe in May. That's about as far west as they go.
There has been some posts about a redfish tournament trail over that way.

At this point there will be a weigh station at Port St. Joe Marina for the Saltwater Classic.

That was me. It should eliminate folks bringing in borderline illegal fish to try to win. You have to figure first through 5th place will be separated by less than 6 oz.

Why wouldn't they be able to? You can fish from a hot air balloon as long as you pay the entry fee.

Some tourneys have rules about livewells, so I have to ask. One bass tournament club would not let us particiapte because we did not have kill switches, so I have to ask.

There's an idea. A hot air balloon would be able to get up in the real skinny water.

Its about time that they made a redfish category. I like the 20-26 slot it will help big time with people bringing in over slot fish.
