Today was the coldest day of the winter so far. Figuring the last couple days of cold weather has changed the fishing patterns, Flounderpounder and I decided to check out some river fishing. When it gets this cold, I've had success by just slowing everything down. Today was no different. On the incoming tide, we caught fish. We caught sheesphead, flounder, reds, and even the largemouth bass got in on the action. Though the temps were down, with the sun out, it turned into a beatiful day. We saw three boats all day--I love winter fishing
Did y'all have the same problem as me, with the ice closeing up the rod eyes? I swear I had ta dip the rod every 5 or 6 cast ta melt it looks like Bear or Buckhorn Creek ta me Y'all did better than I did, fer sure
