Re: NFGFC *REDFISH TOURNAMENT ROLL CALL*
He's already told me he's bringing a case of energy drinks, a case of Mountain Dew, and a gallon of coffee. I'm taking a baseball bat.
What was I supposed to do today?
Re: NFGFC *REDFISH TOURNAMENT ROLL CALL*
After 20 hours, Chalk will be ready to "wait em out". Another example of when a video camera should be on the boat.
"Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant?? I'm halfway through my fish burger and I realize, Oh man....I could be eating a slow learner."

Keep the faith. You can catch a 27 if you try hard.SHOWBOAT wrote:are we still doing a 27" slot or are we implementing TK's novel 26" slot? Thanks

First of all, welcome. I'd recommend coming to our meeting on February 5, 2009 at Beef O'Bradys (1830 Thomasville Rd). The meetings usually start at 7 p.m., but many folks get there early to chat and b.s. The meetings begin with the club officers giving an update (the tournament director gives details about the next tournament) and a guest speaker usually talks for 10-20 minutes on some aspect of fishing.
The tournament is Saturday, Feb. 7 out of Jerry's Bait and Tackle. You'll show up between 5:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. to pay your entry fee and sign in and then you can fish out of any ramp that you'd like. Some of our tournaments are held at a specific ramp (Keaton Beach, Econfina, Carrabelle, St. Joe) and if this is the case, you'll meet at the ramp and sign in.
These tournaments are a lot of fun and you can learn a lot - I was surprised the first time I fished one at how much information was exchanged at the weigh-in. Most of our members want to help each other become better fisherman which is one of the reasons that this club so special.
The club rules and entry forms are also available online at www.nfgfc.org. Hope this helps.
Boom goes the dynamite.
