Obama? I just don' know.

Post by shnstone »

I don't know if I should maybe keep this to myself or not.Even as I am typing this i'm thinking I may not post it,But anyway. I am a christian man as I know from reading some of your posts the short time I have been a member many of you are too. That being said I have watched this election and tried to watch with a wide angle lens but from the beginning I have had a real uneasy feeling about obama.Later on as it became apparent that he would win the election I began to notice the peaple supporting him and alot of them seem to almost be in a trance by this guy.The main streem media built him up to be AMERICAS savior and everyone seemed to jump on that bandwagon. As I watched the transition of obama becoming president today and watched the crowd on camera and listening to comments there is alot of people looking at him as if he was there savior. Now, I am cautious of anyone who puts any man as there one hope to save them especialy to the extent that he has been lifted .I don't know guys I just have a really uneasy feeling about this one.But what do I know ,I hope that i'm wrong but who really knows where he stands morally or spiritually he sure has not been able to convince me where truely stands. But one thing is for sure God is still in control no matter who runs the country or world for that matter. We all have his personal playbook and know how the story ends, And that is where I find my comfort in all this.
Shoot up amongst us ,one of us has to have some relief !

I too think its dangerous to build someone up on a pedestal..Even the president Republican,Democrat,Black,White,Hispanic he is just one guys leading 300,000,000 people. I hope for all Americans that he does a good job but i think putting all your hopes and dreams on one guy is just a setup for failure. This in no way is aimed at Obama but more to the media who build him up so high. I hope as time passes the hype will die down some and let him do his job. Then i may be bitter because my vote went the other way.

I think putting someone on a pedestal is a precursor to their failure. Obama is no exception. I'm going to wait and see how and what he does, but I think the liberals are going to be sorely disappointed. For him or against him I don't think he's going to live up to the expectations of either side.

Ever seen a person get elected then keep the promises they made while running? Me either so there will be a lot of excuses made why he didn't. If he does he will be the first in history, It is sad that the one thing he will most likely achieve is to kill babies that really is the buzz about repealing the abortion laws. Say what you want if you are trying to save seals and kill the unborn I have to question your sanity.
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

Very well said, I am hoping that the majority of the US population knows something that I dont and that he will do what needs to be done at this time. I by no means am happy with the outcome of the election but in the same way I know that I must stand behind whomever is running the greatest country in the world.

He's made so many contradicting promises, who does he screw over first? You can't lower taxes and cut spending if you're gonna give $300+ billion to the country, that money has to come from somewhere.

Baygator, a bill has already been introduced to register ALL guns. No, not new gun sales, but ALL guns. Think everything is still ok with everyone hunting? And you think the fishing regs are restrictive now? Just wait.

I am 100% in support of our fine military. However, seems to me that the country drank the cool aid right after 911. We were mislead by the prior administration (WMD), but given the circumstances most jumped on board with out batting an eye.

Give this guy a chance. I believe that he will be much more moderate than most are assuming. A rotation of beliefs keeps our country balanced.

  In all seriousness, notwithstanding Obama's election prowess, our Country is still a right leaning nation. So, Obama will have to be a centrist if he wants a second term. He is not my primary concern. The problem lies in Congress with Pelosi and her ilk. That's a scary bunch.
