Im thinking of getting my Maverick Wrapped. I have a friend who does boat wraps here in Adel and he's got a pretty good price I think. Im trying to find graphics to help him design the wrap for my 17MA. Anyone have any ideas?? Im gonna have several logos built into the scheme including Badcock & More, SGO, NFGFC, and of course BBF.net. I'm thinking of a redfish background and maybe even JT and TC's mugs pasted on the azz end (Kinda makes sense, huh??) I cant find a redfish print to use. I havent made up my mind if Im definitely gonna wrap my boat or not. Anyone know if there are any downsides to wrapping a boat,i.e. gelcoat problems?? Just looking for a little info. I get bored too easy . What should a wrap on a 17 ft boat cost?? Any and all info is appreciated. Websites I havent found would also be appreciated. Thanks guys, BB

Most people do the wraps just for advertising. Of course, you can do them for fun also I like the idea of putting JT & TC on the rear There are no problems created with the gellcoat.....just some adhesive to remove when the wrap is taken off. A good coat of wax before installation is always a good start. Cost averages around $12.50 per foot plus design fee. Hope that helps a little.....

How easy does a wrap fade? And when you want to take it off, how hard is it to take off? I like the way it looks now Jay. I would be afraid a wrap would take away from it. It is a sharp looking boat and I like the color and your graphics on it now. If I was given a boat by a sponsor I wouldn't mind it being wrapped. For example if Badcock wants to pay a few payments, I will wrap my boat in a picture of you. But I think that Maverick is a classy looking boat and I would leave it alone. Just my .02
I also want to wrap my hull. Checked into it and you should expect to pay around $15 per square foot. This is for really good vinyl that wont fade and is super thick. To do my `17 footer I am looking at $2,000.00
Hope that helps .
I've got a friend that does mine at his shop and he adds a separate layer of laminate to help with durability. Most vinyl carries a 3-5 year warranty against fading.

Oh my goodness ... the bling bling movement has moved to the white boys. Take that money you would waste on that wrap and help a kid out! Just my $0.02 that probably ain't worth a dime.

MD, it's called advertising and as a business owner right now you have to fight for every dollar you can get. If it brings in extra business, and money, then there is more for charities. You can't give away something you don't have.
I think it's a great idea, we've been thinking of doing something on mine for the rod business. I've got a guy in Moultrie that is doing some decal and card work for me that does wraps as well. Let me know if you want to check him out and I'll get ya'll in touch.

BB, I think it's a great idea. Business has been kinda slow for me, lately, and I would really appreciate the monthly check for the use of my photo on your boat.
Maybe RC and BB can do a trade for advertising. You know BB adds RC's company to his wrap and RC does the same for BB then ya got two of em advertising instead of one

To BB, RC and anyone else considering a boat wrap. I was just about to pull the trigger on a wrap for my boat just days before it sold. I found something out that I wasn't aware of that you all may already know. The wrap that people do vehicles with is different than what is needed for a boat. Make sure whom ever you decide to go with uses the correct material.
By the way, I think the wraps are awesome and in no way take away from the boat. Just my $.02
