What a bunch of pricks. I wish I would have been out there with them, I am not a real passive dude with stuff like that and people like that need to learn that they do not own the world. Junior Hathcock, Randy Ackers and me chased a boy for 30 minutes when we were 20 or 25 miles off the coast of Gulf Shores for being a punk. He thought that Pro-Line would outrun my boat and he wanted to talk crap........wrong. He was from Mobile, Al and his boat said "SMOKING GUN" on the side and I thought about that later!
Turns out he was just a big talker showing off for his 2 buddies and heir girl friends. He didn't bank on a psycho from Plains, GA calling is bluff!

JF81, no problem here just trying to lighten it up a little.
I thought I would offer the info and let you make up your mind.

RC, I appreciate it and like I said, these folks know who they are and hopefully they realize that the way they done it on Saturday is not the way it needs to be done. If they choose to continue that way, they will eventually pay the price. The sad part is the more people they catch like this the harder the NMFS will make it us. .02

Additional information may sway the judge at the upcoming court date acts, get the info to FWC and let them handle it.
Beacuse of people that do care people that don't find it harder to do the dirty deeds they do.
That is your right but also your resource to protect abuse or ignore.
I had two newbies on the boat Sat. they wanted to know if they had to buy a license.
I said no but I need to see one if you want to touch a pole otherwise your just going to watch.
Do you think crime watch is a good thing at your house or do you want me to drive by if I see folks breaking in?

Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

Hell of a way start someone's morning.......Glad ya'll caught some fish anyway and had some free entertainment to bootOne Keeper wrote:Why someone would run WIDE-OPEN in a foot of water on a near negative low tide at Econfina. But the end result was a 115 4-stroke Yamaha without a lower unit. As me and Trouttrent witnessed the impact Saturday morning. The boat was a 18 to 20 foot Dura craft , hope it wasn't any of you guys. And for the fishing report we caught a couple of reds and a couple of trout, I think the fish were to cold to move.

Re: Just don't understand!
I don't understand it either but there's a lot I don't understand. I'll spare everybody the list.
Educating people is a messy thing. There's nothing easy about it.
Not if we obey the law. I want them to check me & everybody else. Protect the resource. Last time I checked I catch plenty of nice fish most everytime I go out. Somethings working.

That is most likely true, in terms of dollars. But the most likely response will be to blame the NMFS and the FWC.JF81 wrote:... If they choose to continue that way, they will eventually pay the price.

Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.
Re: Just don't understand!
Hey I don't have a problem being checked anytime because I know that I will be %100 legal when I go out. I know that there are a lot of people that will be the same way. Just because you catch quality fish and good numbers when you go certainly doesn't mean that there aren't those that do not follow the law. I have been fortunate to catch a lot of quality fish and feel that everybody that goes should have that same oppurtunity. I know that the FWC is doing the best they can but they will never catch them all. I will continue to go out and enjoy fishing and follow the regs and will keep company with those who do the same. Tightlines folksNot if we obey the law. I want them to check me & everybody else. Protect the resource. Last time I checked I catch plenty of nice fish most everytime I go out. Somethings working.

You are preaching to the choir around here JF81. Most of us are huge believers in preserving our resources for our children to enjoy. You are in good company bud!
